Are you an experienced receptionist with a meticulous eye for detail, a professional with positive attitude, and do you have a desire to deliver outrageously good customer service? With a team member leaving us, we have an opportunity for a receptionist to join us at Team Medical as soon as you are available.

  • Permanent Part Time - 30 hours.
  • Conveniently located on the Kapiti Coast
Team Medical is a locally owned practice working in association with Green Cross Health. We are an integrated family health centre passionately providing a full range of GP Care services to our enrolled patients and Urgent Care for accident and urgent medical needs to our community.

As a key health hub to the Kapiti Coast our Urgent Care services typically operate 7 days a week from 8am - 10pm. We are currently open reduced hours of 8am - 8pm as we also look to fill a clinical urgent care vacancy. We also have full X-Ray facilities on site.

About the Position and You: You will be assisting the Team Lead and wider team with the delivery of reception tasks, policies and procedures.

Your duties involve offering reception support across the medical centre.

Key tasks and result areas for this position will be the likes of:

  • A professional attitude with 5-star patient service standard
  • Thrives in a busy and diverse environment
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Good decision making and problem solving skills
  • Medtech 32 or Medtech Evolution experience is desirable however training will be provided
  • Good people skills with a friendly and outgoing nature
  • Weekday & weekend hours (able to work evenings )
  • Previous medical receptionist experience is desirable but not necessary

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients on arrival and checking them in
  • Answering incoming telephone calls
  • Booking appointments on the phone and in person
  • Invoicing and collecting fees from patients
  • Clerical/Admin tasks as needed
  • Cash handling
