Whangarei, Northland, New ZealandPermanent part-time position (0.5FTE) Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleAs our Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide general adult community based clinical care to Whangārei and may include our rural based clinics.
You will have the opportunity to work with specific groups of clients such as those that require intensive community treatment or crisis work. You will join a multidisciplinary team in both our Mental Health and Addiction Services where you will play a key role in providing clinical leadership to the wider team.We provide on-going professional support including continued medical education, professional development and peer review.
You will have active participation in a growing service that has the opportunity to be at the forefront of both primary and secondary care innovations.About the LocationAs well as a warm climate, the winterless north offers excellent schools; affordable housing and scenic coastal areas offering a range of recreational activities.
