Head Chef/Cook & Second Cook - Amberley
We have 2 vacancies in our busy country Hotel kitchen. We are a large country Hotel with a Public Bar, Lounge Bar, Restaurant, Gaming Room, Bottle store, Function Room and 12 stay units. We truly are the hub of the community and offer high standard Bistro Dining.
Are you vibrant, energetic, and supremely organised, with a knack for connecting with people and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere? We are on the lookout for a Chef / Cook and 2nd Cook to join our team. Pay rate will be based on experience / qualifications. Both roles are approximately 30-35 hours per week. Potential to have more hours in the future. This includes day and evening work, over 7 days a week on a rostered basis. We are a friendly team and are looking for the right people to join us. Hours can be negotiable to a small degree and applicants must be flexible. The following attributes will go a long way to securing these positions:
- To understand responsibilities in relations to fire procedures, health and safety, infection control, food hygiene and emergency aid.
- Responsible for cooking and preparing food.
- Ability to work weekends and late nights.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Energy, integrity, and drive to succeed
- High integrity, honesty and reliability.
- Teamwork and great interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Ensure kitchen operations are efficient, organised, and meet the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Location is 90 mins north of Christchurch. We have a lovely town with a beautiful beach 8 km away. All applicants should have NZ Residency.
