We have position available for a Chef in our team.
The positions offered involved rostered shifts and would be offered on a permanent basis. The position is for at least 35 hours per week. Our opening hours are 6:45am – 4:00pm daily, open 7 days a week.
Being a chef on our team is to a love for food and fun. The successful candidate is to have strong ethics, be passionate about providing a high quality and delicious food, responsible for running a commercial kitchen alongside head chef.Duties and responsibilities
- Organisation of kitchen and operational requirements
- Cooking of dishes as per the menu/client’s instructions
- Food preparation, presentation and garnishing of dishes
- Quality checking the taste of food
- Ordering of stock in absence of head chef
- Input into catering menu and development of recipes
- Undertake food costing in relation to client orders
- Training of other new kitchen staff
- Managing any special dietary requirements from the kitchen as per the customers’ needs
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Hygiene (as per legislation etc)
- Professional and positive approach
- Work well under pressure
- Team player
- 3 year hospitality experience or NZQA Level 4 relevant qualification is required
