Drainage Excavator Operator - Te Awamutu

Position Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced drainage excavator operator who works well with the team and gets the job done right. You’ll be backed by a solid crew, steady projects, and competitive pay that reflects your experience. If you’re reliable and ready to get to work, get in touch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing stormwater and wastewater drainage
- Operating excavators from 1.7T up to 40T
- Reading and working from plans and levels
- Working in and around shields and trench protection systems
- General labouring and site set-up when needed
Skills & Qualifications (Required):
- Excavator operating experience in civil or drainage work
- Full NZ driver’s licence (WTR endorsement required)
- Construction background
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and work in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to health and safety standards and maintaining a safe working environment
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, managing time and tasks effectively.
Skills & Qualifications (Desirable):
- Drainage Experience
- Able to read plans
- GPS machine control (Trimble and Topcon)
