New Zealand Field Services (NZFS) are on the hunt for another mechanic!
NZFS is a small workshop based in Grenada, Porirua. We run a fleet of five service trucks and mobile hydraulic hose repair vehicles to be able to maintain our business model that is built around being able to diagnose, repair and take care of anything to do with heavy machinery ranging from- Diesel
- Hydraulics
- Welding and engineering
- Machining and line boring
- Electrical
and just about anything that closely relates to these skills depending on our customers requirements which can range from hydraulic systems on fishing boats to welding and fabrication in a plant to electrical faults on scrap metal processing equipment no day is the same around here
while we do not expect potential candidates to know everything listed above there is the always the opportunity for learning and personal growth - if you are willing to learn and have the brain capacity to do so then we are happy to teach you!
our ever growing workload has required us to put another technician on the road to keep up with demand and in doing so we require someone that has a passion for what they do and takes pride in their work along with the following key attributes
- Trade qualified - weather that be in Heavy diesel/Welding and fabrication or Fitting and turning
- A full class 1 license (Class 2 would be preferred)
- A "can do" attitude
- A team player
- Experience and confidence in what you do
- Reliable and punctual
- Problem solving ability
- Be able to work unsupervised
- Good written and communication skills
- Physically fit
- Self motivated
- Good with people
- Mechanical knowledge
- Use diagnostic tools.
- Able to diagnose faults competently
This role is full time working 7.30am - 5.00pm Monday – Friday with the odd Saturday when required. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug test. NZFS is a safety conscious company operating random drug testing.
