Job Description: We are looking for two passionate and skilled Bakers to join our team, with a specialty in Asian-style baked goods such as castella, red bean-filled breads, glutinous rice pastries, and streusel bread. The ideal candidate will not only take charge of daily baking tasks but also oversee the production process and bring creative, culturally rich ideas to life.Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee daily baking and production processes
- Develop new and innovative bakery items inspired by Asian flavours and techniques
- Knead, mix, shape, and bake dough and pastry goods
- Prepare pastry fillings, glazes, and decorate products including cakes and buns
- Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to ensure consistent quality
- Perform temperature checks on baked and chilled goods
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations
- Check quality of raw ingredients and maintain accurate inventory records
- Display bakery items attractively and assist with packaging and pricing products
- Prepare fresh cream products and expertly decorate cakes with icing and toppings
- Coordinate forming, baking, cooling, and storage of baked items
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a bakery environment
- Proven experience in creating and decorating Asian-style baked goods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and hygiene
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and during busy periods
- Leadership skills and ability to oversee production and train junior staff
