Line Shift Lead
ABOUT THE ROLE - Te tūranga mahi
We are seeking a Line Shift Lead to drive a production team based in Auckland in a fast paced manufacturing environment. This is a permanent, full-time position on a 2-2-3 shift pattern, either Night Shift or Day Shift. You will work a 12.25-hour shift between 5:45am and 6:00pm or vice versa, with a minimum of 42.88 hours per week. Reporting to the line lead, you will focus on daily operations and continuous improvements.
You Will:
- Collaborate with the technician and equipment owner.
- Lead and coordinate the shift team and shift handovers.
- Manage production during the shift.
- Foster a team environment that promotes personal growth.
- Lead and coordinate the team to ensure high-quality, efficient production.

Safety Standards:
- Implement and support the WISE safety program in the factory environment.
- Foster a strong safety culture within the business.
Quality Standards:
- Oversee and ensure accurate quality incident reporting and investigation for safe product release.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Establish and maintain base conditions for equipment.
- Ensure data accuracy and complete all checklists, documentation, and deviation reports.
- Inspect and enforce 5S standards on the line.
- Develop and continuously improve CIL/CL in your equipment area.
- Collaborate with team members across different functions.
- Eliminate losses and drive improvement projects.
Team Coordination:
- Coordinate team activities and report line performance to the line lead.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role, preferably in dairy or food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills.
