Accountant
We are looking for an Accountant for a busy and demanding role focused on undertaking accounting functions for the ESL group and ensuring month-end processes are completed in a timely manner.
This role is an Intermediate-level role, working in a close-knit team of accounting & finance professionals in the corporate finance division. Your role involves the following:- Taking ownership of the day-to-day banking function, month end and cash flow reporting.
- Assisting in preparing annual budgets, quarterly profit forecasting, and company tax obligations. This includes preparing and filing GST and FBT returns and Country by Country Reporting and drafting Statutory Financial Statements for review.
- Having responsibility for our Fleet and leased assets, ensuring maintenance of payments and leases.
This is a permanent and full-time role (40 hours per week Monday to Friday). We offer $70K- $80K depending on experience.
We are a small and busy team, to be considered for this role you must be able to hit the ground running. For that you'll need to have the following:- Must have an accredited university degree majoring in accounting and meet the CAANZ academic eligibility for Provisional CA membership.
- Must have minimum 2 years relevant experience in a corporate finance role.
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and LOIS leased asset software.
- Must have experience in month end financial accounting and meeting key deliverable report deadlines.
- Must be able to work under pressure and to tight reporting deadlines, and be available to occasionally work on public holidays in line with Hong Kong time zone.
- Must be able to confidently use MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Must have good attention to detail and data entry skills.
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written.

- Be honest, open and trustworthy.
- Previous experience in the waste and infrastructure industry would be an advantage.
