At Christchurch Hospital, we are building a collaborative andcohesive healthcare system where our professionals thrive in a supportive andinnovative environment.The TeamThe Department of Anaesthesia is a large department whichprovides acute and planned anaesthesia services in Christchurch across two maincampuses, Christchurch Public and Burwood Hospital.

Surgical services areprovided for all the main surgical specialities including Cardiothoracic,Vascular, Neurosurgery, Trauma, Paediatric/Neonatal surgery and Obstetrics andGynaecology.
Tertiary services providedfor patients from outside Canterbury include Acute Spine, Oncological surgeryand endovascular clot retrieval.
The department is accredited for training byANZCA and has a large number of trainees.The RoleWe are seeking to fill potential upcoming general SpecialistAnaesthetist positions based at Christchurch Hospital.
We currently are seekingexpressions of interest for both full-time permanent and fixed-term positions)both full-time permanent and fixed term positions (3 months up to 18 monthswith negotiable part- or full-time options).
The Department will endeavour toaccommodate specific clinical and non-clinical interests.
