Chef de Partie

Ortega Fish Shack is a busy Seafood restaurant located just off Courtenay Place. We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team full time.

At Ortega we have a lot of fun but we work hard and take our cooking seriously, this is reflected in the great feedback we get from our guests on websites such as Tripadvisor. We have been awarded 1 Hat and rated in the top 15 restaurants in NZ by Cuisine Magazine for the last 6 years and won the Felix Awards Outstanding restaurant .

The successful applicant will possess the following attributes.

Chef de Partie- Full time (4 day working week)
  • Must be a NZ resident or citizen/ hold a current NZ work Visa.
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Honest, Punctual & Reliable
  • Has relevant experience as a Chef de Partie or minimum or 1year experience in a similar role.
  • have a genuine interest in food & the hospitality industry as a whole
  • Able to work fast under pressure and pay attention to detail
  • A willing attitude to learn & be a team player
