An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced, suitably qualified Chef to join our team for an immediate start. We are seeking a person who is dependable, loves their work and works well with others without the temperamental disposition that chefs sometimes have. We have 2 other fulltime chefs, both are looking forward to some new blood joining our team and assisting mainly with afternoon prep and evening functions.

If you have a partner that is also looking for work we could also look at fulltime or perm part time employment in our housekeeping department, floor staff and/or office/reception.
Unfortunately we have had a bad experience with excessive drinking from a previous chef, so please, no heavy drinkers!
An attractive salary is offered, with the opportunity to also live on-site in a fully furnished small unit at the rear of the hotel grounds if required. The unit is very basic but has a large bedroom, lounge and kitchen/dining area and bathroom.Utilities excluding gas, phone and internet are included.
Due to the nature of our business, shifts may be across 7 days (including weekends and public holidays) however we understand that a healthy work/life balance is also essential and majority of the time hours will not exceed 38 per week and 2 days off per week can be managed.
The key responsibilities of this position include:- Preparing, cooking and serving high quality meals
- The effective and efficient operation of the kitchen
- Ordering & receiving of supplies for kitchen & bar
- Co-ordination of large functions & events
- Abiding by food safety regulations
- Ensuring cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have previous experience in a similar role

If you have the desire for a sea change and are looking to work within a small, dedicated team then we would love to hear from you. It should be mentioned that Norfolk Island is a stunningly beautiful quiet place where the majority of the time people are in bed by 10pm.
There is little night life here but it does not take long to get to know the locals who are very open friendly people.
I have an excellent team of staff here and Paradise and very much look forward to having another Kiwi on board with us. Please don't hesitate to contact me for further information
