Grocery Manager

We are looking for a right, customer driven Grocery Manager. As a Grocery Manager, you will be leading the Grocery team daily to achieve departmental KPI's, make customer driven decision and support the team in delivering an outstanding customer service. You will also be responsible for:
  • You will be a key department Manager responsible for the delivery of an excellent shopping experience, driving productivity, the highest standards and outstanding customer service.
  • You will also pick up responsibility for our day-to-day Operation which will include diverse responsibilities and Duty Management around the store.
  • Drive and support on floor productivity by organising the right people in the right places.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and work with our Grocery and Duty Management team to continue delivering the best Supermarket offers.
  • Understand, manage and drive your KPI's to ensure your aisles look the best they can.
  • Promoting and encouraging 'best practice' levels to create an awesome customer experience.
  • Ensuring the shop is full and appealing throughout the hours of trade, and that stock levels are controlled appropriately. Also ensuring all appropriate signage is displayed correctly and that advertised product is displayed meaningfully.
  • Monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and managing inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of SAP to understand your stock position across each category.
  • Lead the Grocery staffing team to success which includes and not restricted to assisting in recruiting, department induction and ongoing trainings, put in place initiatives to assist in retention of staff, complete performance appraisals and manage leave.
  • Support the department in complying with our food control plan and health and safety programme
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the store through input to the senior team and active participation and support of department and store wide initiatives
  • Work with suppliers, rep's and merchandisers to leverage the best possible outcome for your product, team and department.
  • Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service
  • Be hands on in display management, shelf flexibility and category change through seasonal and new product variation.
  • Maintain a firm understanding of your team of full time and part time team members to manage and meet the needs of the business.
  • Have a keen eye for standards in cleanliness, maintenance and presentation always.

Other Requirements:

3 years of relevant work experience or relevant qualification is required for this role.

Job type: Full Time Permanent

Pay Rate - $32 per hour

Minimum guaranteed hours 30 hours per week
