About the Role

Rehab Taranaki Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Neuro/Concussion Physiotherapist to join our experienced multidisciplinary team. You’ll be supported by a Team Lead with over 20 years of clinical expertise in traumatic brain injury (TBI), and work in a service that combines clinical excellence with the use of high-tech diagnostic and rehabilitation tools to enhance assessment and treatment planning.

While prior experience in concussion or neuro rehab is an advantage, we welcome applications from motivated physiotherapists looking to develop their skills in this area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for clients with concussion or neurological conditions
  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions and monitor patient progress using advanced clinical tools
  • Collaborate closely with GPs, medical consultants, and other team members including Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, and Rehabilitation Coaches
  • Educate clients and their families on treatment strategies, home-based exercises, and long-term health management
  • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and ongoing service development initiatives

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
  • Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
  • Full New Zealand driver’s licence
  • Experience in neuro or concussion rehabilitation is ideal but not essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A warm, empathetic, and client-centered approach
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
