We're looking for a Head Chef to join our friendly kitchen team on a full-time permanent basis. Immediate start available.
Days are Sun Thu. Shifts range between 5:30am 3:30pm. Min 37 hours per week. Flexibility is a must.
As Head Chef your responsibilities will include;The day to day running of the kitchen
- Food Safety & Compliance
- Health, Safety & Hygiene Protocols
- Accident Reporting
- Product Purchasing & Returns
- Menu & Cabinet Food Development
- Monitoring Kitchen Productivity
- Stock Control & Rotation
- Managing Food Costs & Wastage
- Supervising the Kitchen Team
You must be clean and tidy in both your person and work station.
As we are part of a large franchise we provide a wide range of support from our Head Office Team, all menus are developed by the Columbus Food Team however, there is room for you to be creative and innovative when creating our own signature local favourite menu items.You will also have plenty of room to be creative when designing items for our cabinet range.
You must have at least 5 years minimum experience in a similar role. Minimum cookery level 4 Qualification. Experience with Food Safety and using an FCP. First Aid is desirable. Applicants for this position should have NZ Citizenship, Residency or a valid NZ work visa.
