They are working to optimise planning and investment decisions across key tools and processes (including SCADA applications, market systems, real time systems, and real time asset management technologies) utilised by our control rooms and other areas of Transpower.
The OPTI Investment Delivery team manages the formal joint programme relationship with the Electricity Authority and works collaboratively with our Information Services Technology (IST) division to ensure the successful delivery of the Operations work programme.
Investment Delivery provides the governance structure to outcomes are delivered and seeks to maximise the resources and funding available, understanding technology dependencies and minimising change impacts, to deliver best value for money from investment undertaken by Operations.
The opportunityYou'll play a key role in supporting the Investment Delivery Manager applying project and change management practices to support Transpower success.A business change-focused position, you'll deliver business projects in the Operations Work Programme, collaborating with colleagues in ICT, and working with both internal and external stakeholders.
You'll also contribute to developing and assuring the project management practices in Investment Delivery Services and be part of the Transpower Project Management Practice (led from our Information Services and Technology division).
The Practice provides standardised methodology, tooling, processes etc and supports maturity of project management and the Community of Practice to share knowledge.

Competence in relevant Microsoft office software (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Project), workflow tools such as Jira.Strong relationship management experience with internal and external stakeholders.
An ability to negotiate with stakeholders to gain consensus and cooperate across work areas to improve outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements and develop alternatives A Degree qualification and ideally a project Management Certification e.g.
