Operations Manager - Infection Prevention and Controlat Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Counties Manukau -
Reporting to the Service Manager Laboratory Services, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of Healthcare Associated Infection Prevention initiatives and related quality improvement programmes across the organisation.Taking the lead on specific improvement programmes agreed with the Service Manager, Laboratory Services and Clinical Director, Infection Services.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday and based at Middlemore Hospital.Key responsibilities;Successfully lead and support the infection prevention and control teamEnsure the team has the necessary skill and experience to meet service delivery needsEnsure key deliverables of the service are met.Monitor, evaluate and report on the key outcomes of programmes and successful lead the team to achieve agreed goalsEnsure baseline and outcome data is collected and managed to allow analysis of efficiencies, cost/benefits and value edEnsure compliance with the Health and Disability Services Standards for New Zealand with regards to Infection Prevention & Control.If you have been searching for the opportunity to:Lead a dynamic and specialised team that plays a pivotal role in healthcareSecure a role that offers support and opportunities to growMake a difference to the population you serve through involvement in strategic and operational planning,then this could be the position for you!To succeed in this role, you will be a health professional with either a relevant post graduate qualification or a relevant tertiary qualification and have a minimum of five years’ experience in infection prevention and control or a relevant scientific speciality, including relevant experience of the clinical service environment.
