Pastry Cook

Hustle Bros Limited trading as The Mediterraneo Cafe has a great opportunity for two Pastry Cooks to join our team. You will be motivated, customer focused and enjoy being part of our team.

This is a permanent full-time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week. The working hours are between Monday to Sunday between 5 am to 4.30 pm. You should be flexible to work on Public Holidays when required.

• Prepare and bake a diverse range of pastries, desserts and other baked goods according to recipes and specifications.
• Decorate and present pastries and desserts with a strong emphasis on visual appeal and artistic presentation.
• Maintain and maintain inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies ensuring the freshness and quality of all products.
• Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
• Store and organise food items efficiently ensuring proper dating and assisting in controlling wastage.
• Prepare food items to accommodate special dietary requirements ensuring all customer needs are met.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, and health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen and café staff to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Assist in planning and development of new menu items contributing creative ideas to pastry offerings.
• Perform any additional duties as requested by the Director or Reporting Manager.

• At least 2 years work experience as a Pastry Cook or Baker.
• A relevant qualification in Baking and Patisserie, although not essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for maintaining cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within specified timeframes.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanour when interacting with clients and colleagues.

The pay rate will be offered between $25 per hour and $30.00 per hour.
