We are currently seeking a full-time experienced welder to join our growing team. From humble beginnings as an independent Dunedin boatbuilder in the 1990s, Southern Boats has evolved into one of New Zealand's premier alloy boat builders. We pride ourselves on our innovative designs, top-notch craftsmanship, and fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment.
About the Role- Manufacturing of aluminium boat components
- Fabricating aluminium hulls and decks
- Fabricating aluminium trailers
- Installation of windows and glazing on boats
- Repair works on existing boats
- Experience in MIG/TIG welding
- Attention to detail and a strong pride in your craftsmanship
- Be a team player with a can-do attitude
- Commitment to meeting and exceeding Health and Safety requirements
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
- A clean NZ driver’s licence
- 4-day work week - our team works x4 10-hour days, giving you a 3-day weekend every week
