About the Role
As the Head of Department of our regional hospital laboratory, you will complete day to day running of the pathology laboratory services within the regional hospital. You will provide expert leadership to the laboratory team and ensure that the regional laboratory provides a service to the highest quality standards, meeting or exceeding Accreditation or Professional Standards.

About you
We are looking for someone who will operationally and strategically support the ongoing development of the Laboratory Service, being able to deliver organisational KPIs including relevant MOH target, financial budgets and service plans.- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLSc) or international equivalent.
- Registration as a scientist with the Medical Laboratory Sciences Council of New Zealand as a Medical Laboratory Scientist
- Holder of a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Proven Management and Leadership experience in a Pathology Laboratory
- Highly developed communication skills
- Proven technical expertise
