Seeking one Nanny in Auckland to work for our family.
This role involves providing full-time care for our 6-month-old baby boy, ensuring his safety, well-being, and development in a nurturing and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications in childcare and experience working with infants, and a passion for delivering high-quality, personalized care.
The minimum rate of pay is $23.50/hour, will work for 30-50 hours each week on Monday to Saturday. Fully furnished a private room provided within the family home, including meals and utilities.
Duties and responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of Nanny is to assist parents in the ongoing care and supervision of a 5-month-old baby, ensuring a nurturing and safe environment within the family home. This includes, but is not limited to:
Providing Ongoing Care and Supervision:
- Preparing and feeding formula milk and sterilizing baby bottles.
- Changing nappies and maintaining hygiene for the baby.
- Bathing, dressing, and ensuring the baby’s overall cleanliness.
- Establishing and maintaining a consistent sleep routine.
Supporting Development and Education:
- Preparing and conducting age-appropriate activities to support the baby’s cognitive, social, and physical development, such as tummy time, sensory play, and music-based interactions.
- Reading to the baby to foster early language development and bonding.
Managing Behaviour and Social Development:
- Providing consistent care to promote a sense of security and well-being for the baby.
- Supporting the baby’s social and emotional growth through nurturing interactions and a stable environment.
Recreational Activities and Entertainment:
- Engaging the baby in stimulating and enjoyable activities to encourage exploration and curiosity.
- Supervising and facilitating recreational activities appropriate for an infant’s age and needs.
Hygiene and Daily Routine Management (Baby-Related Only):
- Maintaining the baby’s hygiene, including nappy changes, bathing, and dressing.
- Washing and sterilizing bottles, as well as preparing formula or other appropriate meals for the baby.
- Washing, organizing, and storing the baby’s clothes, bedding, and toys.
Supervising and Monitoring:
- Observing the baby’s daily routines, milestones, and behaviours, and communicating updates or concerns to parents. Tracking and recording daily routines, milestones, and progress, and providing updates to parents
- Ensuring the baby’s environment is clean, safe, and conducive to healthy development.
