About the RoleWe are looking for a New Zealand Registered Midwife to join our secondary maternity unit at Whangārei Hospital.The registered midwife employed in this role is recognised as an autonomous practitioner who:Utilises professional knowledge and skill to provide a holistic approach to midwifery care that is safe and of the highest quality possible.Works in partnership with women to ensure they receive quality maternity care whilst they are in hospitalWill work in partnership with women, LMCs and other members of the health care team to ensure maternity care plans are developed, implemented and reviewed to meet the needs of the woman and her baby during the inpatient stayWill provide emergency midwifery support as required and facilitate transfers to other maternity services when needed About the Service/LocationJoin the Te Kotuku Maternity Unit team and be a part of making an important difference within your community.
