We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Training Advisor supporting the Central North region. This is your opportunity to play a key role in supporting apprentices in the electrical and PGDR (Plumbing, Gasfitting, Drainlaying and Roofing) trades – helping them succeed in their learning, grow their confidence, and become workforce-ready.
What you’ll be doing- Support apprentices throughout their journey – from onboarding to qualification – through academic guidance and pastoral care.
- Onboard new learners and host companies into training agreements, ensuring obligations are clear and success is set up from day one.
- Monitor learning progress and provide regular feedback, ensuring apprentices meet training requirements and receive any extra support they need.
- Be a mentor and advisor, checking in regularly, offering guidance and connecting apprentices to wellbeing support and services.
- Place and support GES learners, matching them with host companies based on skills, interests, and learning needs.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure every apprentice has the best possible experience and outcomes – academically, personally, and professionally.
- A background in the electrical or PGDR industries, or experience supporting learners in education, training, or employment.
- A passion for people development and seeing others succeed.
- Confidence in using or learning systems like SAMS, Selma, and Moodle.
- Strong communication and organisation skills – you can build relationships, juggle priorities, and solve problems with ease.
- A full driver’s licence – you’ll be visiting apprentices and host companies regularly.
- Bonus points for experience in sales, recruitment or lead generation.
