Project Manager - Contract Role

Web Genius is on the lookout for a Project Manager to join our team in Kapiti, just 40 minutes north of Wellington. It’s a contract role with around 30 hours a week on offer, and we’re flexible depending on your availability. You’ll need to be local and have the right to work in New Zealand.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some experience or a relevant degree who wants to gain hands-on project management skills in the world of SEO and website production.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Learn to manage website and SEO projects, keeping everything on track, on time, and within budget.
  • Assist in planning and implementing SEO campaigns while learning from experienced professionals.
  • Work with writers and contribute to SEO-friendly, high-quality content for clients.
  • Gain experience managing website builds and updates, coordinating designers, developers, and content creators.
  • Learn how to leverage AI tools to enhance SEO strategies, automate workflows, and improve efficiencies.
  • Communicate with clients and internal teams, ensuring clear project expectations.
  • Develop skills in optimising SEO and website workflows for efficiency and success.
  • Track project progress and provide data-driven insights.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Some experience or a relevant degree in digital marketing, communications, or web development.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and ready to manage multiple projects.
  • Able to craft engaging, optimised content and communicate clearly with clients.
  • Familiarity with website production and content management systems (training provided).
  • Interested in learning how AI can enhance SEO and digital strategies.
  • Interested in learning more about analytics and digital marketing tools.
  • Adaptable and eager to develop skills in SEO and project management.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, supportive environment.
