Our expanding Trade Department specialises in supply of timber, building materials and specialist finishing products. Our focus is on delivering solutions to our customers in the building & construction industry.
About the Role
Working closely with the Trade team, this role requires you to effectively work with existing and potential customers which will include providing all necessary assistance for Account Managers to meet business demands.
You will be responsible for maximising sales and profit through various administrative functions.
You will be communicating with customers, professionals and experts in the building sector. You will showcase your efficient, accurate administration and multitasking skills to provide our customers with effective, timely solutions and an exceptional customer service experience.
This role is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday and may require work on the weekends when required.
Duties include- Fielding incoming sales calls;
- Using our operating system to create picking slips for timber yard /trade staff;
- Processing orders;
- Co-ordinating and follow-through on all quotes;
- Plans to estimator and quotation presentation packs;
- Product descriptions and price updates;
- Organising all customer indent stock/special orders and their charge-out;
- Reconciling and tracking key customer accounts;
- Deliver on exceptional customer service at all times and develop strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and the trade team
- Must have knowledge of hardware, building materials and timber knowledge
- Good written and verbal communication skills and be computer literate.
- Be able to build rapport with customers
