Duty Manager

Location:- Panmure, Auckland

1. Assist Director and the Head Chef with Menu planning and special functions.
2. Report to the Director.
3. Handling administration and paperwork.
4. Overseeing stock levels and ordering supplies.
5. Communication with our customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service.
6. Respond to customer inquiries, complaints and suggestions.
7. Assisting customers by giving recommendations when appropriate.
8. Take reservations, and food orders and serve customers.
9. Take Payments where required.
10. Opening and closing the business.
11. Ensure premises is secure at all times.
12. Develop customers rapport and obtain regular feedback.
13. Guide FOH for a better customer service.
14. Make sure the health and safety procedures are followed in the restaurant to meet the internal and regulatory standards.
15. Ensure the dinning facilities comply with health and safety and are clean, hygienic, and fully functional.
16. Assist Director for staff recruiting and training.
17. LCQ Certificate and a current managers certificate are essential.

• Holding a Bachelors Degree or at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Current New Zealand Duty Manager is our priority.
• Previous experience as a Café Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar hospitality role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and operational compliance.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and financial reporting.
• Flexibility to work in split shifts weekends, public holidays, and peak hours as needed.
