About the Role | Mo te tuunga
We are seeking experienced stainless-steel Fabricators and Senior Fabricators to join our team. Reporting to one of our workshop Team Leaders, the purpose of these roles is to fabricate stainless-steel sheet metal efficiently and to deliver quality products within the specified timeframes and cost requirements, whilst ensuring that all customer expectations are met.
Key responsibilities include:- The fabrication of stainless-steel vessels, pipe runs, ducting, and transitions.
- Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out TIG, MIG and dual welding.
- Understanding and conducting polishing procedures as required.
- Adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
- Using workshop machinery including break press, guillotine, plate and sectional rollers, and lifting equipment.

You will have strong communication skills, have a good understanding of safety requirements in a workshop environment, and you are eligible to live and work in New Zealand.
Qualifications & Experience | Mo ngaa puukenga- A Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Engineering Fabrication (Trade) with strands in Light Fabrication/Heavy Fabrication and Steel Construction, or an equivalent trade qualification.
- At least three to five years’ experience in stainless steel fabrication, ideally within the dairy industry.
- TIG welding experience, including sanitary welds with back purge.
- Qualification to AS/NZS 2980 Standards.
- NZS 4703, NZS 4711 or ASME IX tickets
- Trained in Confined Spaces and Gas Detection
- Holds a US 3800 qualification to operate a pendant controlled overhead crane.
- Holds a current forklift licence.
