Climate Reporting Analyst
You will be responsible for the collation, analysis and monthly reporting of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and working with our GHG assurance practitioner to ensure FY25 reported numbers are accurate. You will also have a key role in scoping the emissions reporting needs of the business long term.
This will involve upskilling to understand future reporting requirements over more complex GHG categories, financial quantification disclosures relating to climate-related risks and opportunities, and emissions reduction activities in line with our strategic ambition.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to work autonomously, brings a strong investigative mindset to climate reporting, resilient approach to regular set of every-day tasks, strong eye for detail, and has the proven ability to draw insights from a large set of data.

What you will be doing?- Supporting the development of a future climate action plan aligned with the Board's strategic climate ambition for decarbonising our business and scoping its delivery.
- Accounting for GHG emissions and using these skills to produce monthly GHG reporting and analysis for the business.
- Utilising the latest GHG accounting methodologies and guidance to understand how we can accurately measure and report on further, more complex, categories of emissions in the future.
- Working with our GHG accounting software provider Generate Zero to improve GHG measurement processes and ensure agreement on key accounting methodologies and judgments for any new categories.
- Working with our assurance practitioner McHugh & Shaw to deliver the FY25 GHG audit.
- Working with finance to ensure FY25 financial reporting and climate reporting are appropriately aligned.
- Understand the financial quantification reporting requirements for FY26 and scope delivery of these requirements.
- Minimum 3+ years' finance experience, including experience within a similar role, preferably in the insurance, banking, professional services or an industry similar.
- Strong financial business reporting, modelling and analysis skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Previous audit experience and a basic understanding of financial processes and controls is beneficial but not required.
- Previous experience and ability to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data.
- Ability to operate 'in the grey' and land conclusions in the absence of clear external standards/guidance.
- Ability to condense complex information into manageable, easy to understand outputs.
- An open and willing mindset to learn new skills beyond traditional financial accounting.
- A challenging mindset to identify areas of improvement in the current GHG measurement process.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail.
