As a Youth Warden Support Officer, you will:
- Engage and Mentor: Build positive relationships with young individuals, offering guidance and support to encourage personal growth and development.
- Supervise Activities: Oversee daily activities, ensuring a safe and respectful environment within the facility.
- Facilitate Programs: Assist in organising and conducting educational and recreational programs aimed at skill-building and positive behaviour reinforcement.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with and support other staff members, to ensure the well-being of the youth in our care.
Requirements:
- Empathy and Patience: A compassionate approach and the ability to connect with young individuals.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work rotating roster, including evenings and weekends, based on the needs of the facility.
- No criminal history: Must be able to pass Criminal History and Vulnerable Children checks that are not governed by the Clean Slate Act
