Our Thai restaurant has been busy and we are looking for 2 Thai Chef to join our team.

Requirements
  • NZQF Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
  • Knowledge of Thai food ingredients
  • Knowledge of Thai food cooking techniques
Job Descriptions
  • Prepare food and cook dishes from the menu at a high-quality standard, and monitor all dishes before leaving the kitchen with a high standard of presentation.
  • Ensure all pre-cooked food, dessert and sauces are done beforehand to meet daily needs.
  • Ensure all food items are stored at the right temperature and all food is used by date.
  • Create and change menus with cost estimation for each dish.
  • Ensure enough stock is kept for daily operation through carry out a stocktake
  • Ensure all kitchen staff can work independently as well as in a leam, provide required training to the new staff, especially about food control plans and demonstrate cooking techniques.
  • Discuss with the owner/manager regarding any issues or potential issues that may affect kitchen operation and provide solutions or decisions when necessary.
  • Ensure cleaning and hygiene of the kitchen facility is at a high standard by preparing cleaning schedules for fellow kitchen staff and inspecting all areas after cleaning.
  • Involve in recruitment for kitchen staff by carrying out CV selection, interviews and providing a trial period.

Other detail
  • This is a full-time and permanent position
  • Wage payment is $28.50-$31.00 per hour depending on your skill and work experience
  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
  • ou will be working at 5-7 Corinthain Drive Albany, Auckland
  • You will work according to a roaster with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 40 hours) per week with the business operation hour
  • Lunch Shift 11.30 am to 2.30pm from Tuesday to Friday and Dinner shift 4.30pm to 10.00 pm from Tuesday to Sunday
