ABOUT THE ROLE - NGA AHUATANGA O TE TURANGA

Our pool facilities are more popular than ever, and as a Lifeguard for the AC Baths you will play a key part in ensuring that all customers not only have a fantastic experience, but a safe one. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • General lifeguarding duties to ensures customers are safe and looked after; and
  • Supporting the Team Leader with day-to-day operations at the pools

We have full-time, 40 hours per week opportunities for individuals who are able to work on a rotating roster.

These positions are deemed safety sensitive positions and will require a pre-employment drug test.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory police vetting.

Please note, you will be asked to complete a timed 200m swim as part of the interview process.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR - KEI TE KIMI MATOU I TENEI MOMO TANGATA

It goes without saying that you'll have a passion for aquatics and sharing your knowledge and experience with customers and colleagues to improve water safety. You will be an excellent communicator, mature and committed to making a difference in our local community.

Joining an energetic and passionate team, this role is suited to candidates that are resilient and laser focused. You will be working in a fast-paced environment across our indoor and outdoor pool areas to ensure a positive Health and Safety culture.

If you hold a current First Aid Certificate and a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate, that will be a huge bonus however, if you are a confident swimmer or confident in deep water, keen to start a career in our industry, apply now as we will provide you with all you need to be a qualified Lifeguard.

Please note our pools operate 7 days a week, reliability and commitment to working early, late and some weekend shifts are crucial.
