Responsibilities may Include:
- Working closely with our client to provide support as they go about their daily tasks
- Assisting with complex personal cares
- Assisting with household management and meal preparation
- Supporting exercise programmes
- Assisting with accessing the community
- Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter cares
- Moving and handling hoists and manual transfers
- Medication support
- Support the client in achieving positive goals in their lives and contribute to the effective day-to-day running of the services
- Maintaining the client's safety and well-being.
Employment Type: Casual (Cover Shifts)
Days of work: We need weekend support for our clients, and shifts allocated could be 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 11pm or 11pm - 7am, between Friday to Monday.

You are a calm but confident-natured individual who can demonstrate resilience and understand the challenges of our service users. There are many responsibilities associated with being a support worker which can be challenging and fulfilling.It is rewarding when you are part of the support that enables a person to live their best lives in the community.
The candidate would have (Candidate Pre-Requisites):
- A supportive mindset to help our clients achieve their goals for independent living in the community
- Ideally prior personal care experience is preferred
- Familiarity with complex medical conditions, like spinal injuries, traumatic brain injury
- A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered (comprehensive training can be provided)
- Access to a car and ability to drive independently (a full New Zealand Driver's License is a must)
- Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
- Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.
- Pay Band: $24.13 - $30.03 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).
