We are looking for a team player with initiative, good communication skills and someone who takes pride in their work. We work closely as a team, and Council’s wider Infrastructure Group, so need someone who’s able to communicate with people from all backgrounds.
As a Treatment Plant Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our three waters treatment teams by providing essential upkeep to our critical facilities. This role is a great foot in the door for someone looking to join the exciting and growing water industry, with opportunities to learn and upskill in multiple areas of treatment and maintenance.Whilst there will be changes in the way we manage water infrastructure across the country, this is an essential role to ensure our water is well maintained. You will gain exposure to a wide range of basic operational and engineering processes and tasks.
Reporting to the Treatment Plant Maintenance Supervisor, you'll assist in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our treatment facilities and equipment. This hands-on role offers variety, from assisting with maintenance tasks to supporting wastewater and water treatment operations.With full training provided, you'll also have the opportunity to be part of an on-call roster, responding to after-hours issues in our wastewater and stormwater pump stations.
