We are currently seeking to employ a Senior Accounts/Payroll Administrator to work in our offices in Central City.This is a full-time position that would ideally suit someone who has experience in all aspects of Accounts & Payroll. Hours will be 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday.
Job description
Payroll Management:- Process and manage end-to-end payroll for all employees in compliance with relevant tax and employment legislation.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, benefits, and deductions, including tax, superannuation, and any other relevant payments.
- Coordinate with HR/director to ensure the accurate entry of new hires, terminations, and changes to employment details.
- Reconcile payroll reports and prepare payroll journals for entry into the general ledger.
- Prepare and submit statutory filings (PAYE, superannuation, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Analyze and track project/job costs to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Allocate expenses to the appropriate job codes and cost centers, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Provide regular job costing reports and updates to the director, identifying any cost discrepancies or areas for concern.
- Review and reconcile job cost reports to ensure accuracy before finalizing financial statements.
- Ensure timely payment of all accounts payable and reconcile payment records with statements.
- Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding account status and payment schedules.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure they are properly filed for auditing purposes.
- Prepare accounts payable reports for review by director.
- Manage and oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing customers, tracking outstanding balances, and ensuring timely collections.
- Reconcile accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with customers on overdue invoices.
- Investigate and resolve customer billing issues or discrepancies in a professional and efficient manner.
- Process customer payments and update financial records to reflect accurate account balances.
- Generate and distribute accounts receivable reports to director, highlighting overdue amounts and potential issues.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and track actuals against budgeted figures.
- Provide analysis on financial performance and recommend improvements or corrective actions where necessary.
