About You
- NZ Level 4 qualifications or Three to Four years practical on-site workplace experience in NZ on commercial construction projects in the Precast Industry
- Reliable, Diligent, and accurate
- Physically fit
- Accurate plan reading skills to enable you to set out, form, tie rebar, install components, pour, and finish concrete, unsupervised and to a high level of quality.
To be considered for this role, you must have an existing right to work in New Zealand, no overseas applications. We are a drug and alcohol-free environment; you must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Job BriefWorking as a valued member of our team in Rolleston or on site, you will carry out all works that are required to form, prepare, and pour concrete structures as instructed to a high level of quality. Safe use of wood, metal and concrete working tools, equipment and machinery.
Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures. Selecting timbers and materials and preparing formwork. Cutting materials, assembling and nailing, cut and shaped parts. Measuring, cutting, bending and fixing welded wire mesh and reinforcing into moulds and forms.
Fixing mesh and reinforcing steel into position in formwork for concrete pours. Assembling wood and other materials to form structures and fittings ready to install into concrete. Constructing concrete formwork.
ResponsibilitiesReview plans or specifications to determine work requirements.
Prepare casting beds and forms/moulds in preparation from forming concrete.
Determine quantities, and locations of reinforcing rods, weld plates, lifters, ducts and other fittings from plans and instructions.
Complete the formwork mould and the tying of rebar cages and checking your work for accuracy.
Pour, screed and finish concrete to a high level of competency and quality.
