Café Workers - Christchurch

We require 2 experienced Café Workers for our busy café, Robert Harris, in Ashburton. This is a hands-on position suitable for an energetic, positive, enthusiastic customer-oriented person looking for a challenging and rewarding position in the hospitality industry.

You must possess a can-do attitude and the ability to manage a high traffic café.

 Minimum working hours will be 30 hours per week

 Pay rate range will be $25.00- $30.00 per week.

To be suitable for the role you must:  Have 1-2 years or relevant industry experience.

 be available for weekend work.

Job Duties include:  preparing and serving food and beverages for consumption on premises.

 Complete basic food and beverage preparation and ensure a high standard of quality and presentation;  Ensure that all food prepared and served is safe, in line with the Robert Harris Food Safe Plan.
 Process transactions in line with the Robert Harris Ashburton Cash Handling, Meals & Staff Discount Policy; in the house rules guide.
 Maintain a clean and well-presented work area at all times by completing cleaning requirements as instructed and reporting maintenance issues in a timely manner.
 Work in a collaborative team and encourage a positive environment.
 Clean and prepare tables for customers.

 Clear away used dishes and cutlery when customers are finished dining.

 Assist with training of new team members ensuring they are equipped to perform all duties;
 Adhere to Safety, Environment, Quality & Operational Risk standards and procedures.

 Ensure hazards, incidents, near misses and workplace injuries are reported to your manager within 24 hours and applicable corrective actions are completed in a timely manner;  Assist and support your manager and other team members as required.

 Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by Supervisor/Manager.
