This position is a permanent, full-time role within the Auckland region.
Remuneration is between $32-$35 per hour.
About Marine Propulsion
Marine Propulsion specialises in a wide range of services from drive lines and mechanical systems. Marine propulsion prides itself on its customer service providing efficient and innovative services.
Required skills and experience- Service and maintain engineering machinery, including driveline, thrusters, rudders, and other systems, to the highest standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during dry dock and other maintenance activities.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills.
- Proven experience as a Fitter and Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role (at least 2 years of relevant work experience is required)
- Strong understanding of marine engineering systems and machinery.
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new tasks.
- (Spanish speaking is a plus, especially for engaging with overseas vessels.)
- Must have excellent communication skills, and be able to work both unsupervised as well as in a team.
- Must have good time management and organisation skills.
- Committed to delivering quality results and minimising risks.
- A desire to learn new skills and technologies and share knowledge with the rest of the team
