We’re a well established Indian restaurant in the heart of Titirangi, now under new management and committed to delivering authentic regional flavours and outstanding hospitality. We’re seeking a skilled Assistant Manager to support our front of house team, maintain service excellence, and enhance guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily front of house operations, including reservations, seating, and guest flow
- Lead, coach, and schedule front of house staff (servers, hosts, bar team) to ensure consistent, high quality service
- Monitor guest feedback and address issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction and repeat business
- Partner with the Head Chef on menu roll outs, specials, and events, ensuring smooth execution
- Manage inventory of front of house supplies (glassware, linens, stationery) and coordinate timely reorders with suppliers
- Administer the POS system: train staff, generate sales reports, and reconcile cash takings
- Enforce health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations
- Assist with financial tracking, including daily takings, labour costs, and budget adherence
Requirements
- Minimum one year of supervisory or management experience in a restaurant setting, preferably with Indian cuisine
- Strong understanding of Indian food culture and the ability to present dishes knowledgeably to guests
- Proven leadership skills with a talent for motivating and developing a team
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem solving abilities
- Proficiency in hospitality POS systems and basic accounting principles
- NZ work rights and relevant hospitality certifications
