Maintenance Person - Christchurch
PART TIME
40 hours per fortnight
Te Whiwhinga Mahi/The Opportunity
This is an exciting and rewarding position helping to make a difference in people's lives by supporting the maintenance of the buildings, plant and equipment in our residential homes and other premises.
You will- Work under the direction of the Maintenance Engineer and will be responsible for maintenance activities across all Laura Fergusson Brain Injury Trust property and facilities.
- Contribute to the achievement and delivery of the maintenance programme.
- Undertake external maintenance of buildings, driveways, and other structures.
- Build new structures as necessary e.g. shelving
- Make minor carpentry, mechanical and plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Perform touch up and finish painting.

- The skills and knowledge required would generally be obtained through previous experience in building work, facilities maintenance, cleaning, and grounds maintenance work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude
- Proven customer service skills and ability to build rapport with individuals living with a disability
- The ability to work in a team environment or autonomously as required
- Reliable, friendly and professional manner
