Part of our Corporate Services division, the Risk and Assurance team provides expertise, knowledge and support to the business and is responsible for maintaining and reporting an enterprise-wide view of strategic, external and operational risks.The team touches all areas, offering a unique breadth of exposure and experience.

Transpower manages risks of all kinds, and the team maintains oversight over all of them, including risks posed by climate change.
They also coordinate second and third line of assurance activities across the company.
Services provided include: Ownership and implementation of the risk management framework and practices, as it applies to Transpower's business and projects.
Managing delivery of the Internal Audit function by a third-party internal assurance partner.

Ensuring current and appropriate incident management and business continuity plans are in place and are regularly tested.About the opportunityWorking closely with the Head of Risk and Assurance, you'll undertake risk analysis and research, and support the risk and assurance team and wider Transpower risk and assurance community by developing fact-based insights and analysis.

This includes risks related to climate change, the electrification of our economy, and geopolitical instability.You'll collaborate with Transpower's divisional risk and assurance practitioners, who identify, manage, and report divisional risks.

They are also responsible for coordinating regular control self-assessments and contributing to the quarterly risk and assurance reporting that you will collate.
