We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Technician to join our tight knit team at Dynes Transport in Dunedin.

We are looking for a candidate who is a highly skilled and experienced heavy vehicle mechanic that is driven to achieve the best possible results, with a passion for excellence and a desire to see things done right and delivering quality work.The role involves diagnosis and repair a variety of heavy diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and related heavy-duty equipment. Performing scheduled maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups on trucks and other commercial vehicles. Troubleshooting and resolving complex mechanical issues.
Maintaining accurate documentation and records of all work performed. Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks. Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
The Candidate will have the following attributes:-- A formal qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a related Automotive Trades field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a commercial, or fleet setting.
- Adheres to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Ideally hold a minimum of a class 4 driver's licence or have the ability to obtain one through the Companies training program.
