In a Nutshell
The Panel Beater is responsible for ensuring all vehicles are repaired to the highest quality standard, within agreed timeframes and in accordance with the approved repair specifications as set out by AMI MotorHub.
This is achieved by the timely planning and co-ordination of processes and activities with the Production Manager and Repair Technicians.
The Day to Day Work will see you- Deliver quality, professional repairs to AMI MotorHub specifications including the Dismantle and Reassembly
- Safe use of repair equipment (including various hammers and hand tools, MIG/Spot welding, pushing/pulling devices, jigs, hoists, dollies, and air compressors)
- Align and reshape damaged panels
- Replace sections of vehicles and weld in replacements
- Set up and maintenance of repair equipment and tools
- Check on jobs as part of the quality control process
- Review all vehicles for imperfections/defects and rectify in accordance with instructions from the Production Manager
- Keep the workshop management system up to date
- Work with other teams in the workshop to ensure that all technical issues and queries are resolved
- Attend toolbox meetings daily
- Ensure that required documentation is complete and compliant before handover
- Follows all safety and security procedures
- Clean as you go
Hours of work will be 42.5 hours per week, to be worked during normal business hours, 7:00am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
Annual salary range between $70,000 and $100,000 depending on skills and experience.
We’d love to see you bring- A Trade qualification or equivalent certification and/or
- At least 3 years of motor vehicle repair experience
- Ability to use relevant repair equipment
- Knowledge of metals and vehicle parts
- Skills in repairing, fitting and preparing vehicle panels and frames
- Understanding of mechanics
