The operations department at our large horticultural farm is responsible for buildings, vehicles, machinery, and all structures in-between. We’re looking for a reliable Farm Operations Assistant to join the team. If you enjoy working outdoors, prefer a physical job and want to progress in the horticulture industry, this may be the perfect fit for you.

A couple of the key responsibilities of this role include constructing new crop support structures and maintaining wires on existing crop supports.

At times, you’ll also help in other parts of the operations department with new developments and general maintenance. You’ll be proactive with health and safety, and committed to helping us maintain our excellent safety record.

Key skills required for this role include:

• Respond to wire and structure repairs and maintenance
• Operate and maintain farm machinery
• Have experience fencing, wiring, or similar tasks
• Show initiative
• Be physically fit and willing to work in all-weather
