About the Role:

Springfield Estate is a progressive mixed cropping and lamb fattening farm located on the outskirts of Methven. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Farm Hand to join our team. The role involves a wide range of farm duties with a strong focus on arable operations, general maintenance, and livestock support.

• Operating tractors and machinery for cultivation, planting, spraying, and harvesting
• Assisting with irrigation set-up, operation, and maintenance
• General farm maintenance (fences, sheds, tracks)
• Supporting livestock operations, particularly lamb finishing
• Seasonal tasks as required (e.g. hay/silage, crop inspections, break fencing)
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends in busy times of the year i.e. harvest, irrigation, and planting time.

• Previous experience in arable farming, livestock and tractor operation
• Competent with GPS guidance systems (preferred)
• Understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance
• Practical, hands-on attitude with attention to detail
• Able to work both independently and in a team
• Reliable transport and current driver’s licence (HT an advantage)
