Want to get stuck into a hands-on technical role where your work really matters? We're on the hunt for a switched-on, safety-minded Geothermal Production Technician to join our team in Kawerau. You'll help keep our geothermal generation sites humming – supporting daily operations, troubleshooting issues, and making sure everything runs safely, efficiently, and smoothly.

This role is ideal for someone with solid technical experience (mechanical, electrical, or plant-based), a proactive mindset and a drive to learn. Reporting to our Operations Manager, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team and work regular 40-hour weeks, Monday to Friday.

**What you’ll be doing:**
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and optimising geothermal plant performance.
  • Assisting with plant isolation, safety measures and work permits.
  • Supporting station/unit start-ups and shutdowns.
  • Collecting and entering operational data for performance evaluation.
  • Identifying any process issues and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Helping with first response in incident and emergency situations.
  • Collaborating with engineers, contractors and other plant operators.
  • Keeping systems and documentation up to date.
  • Supporting health, safety and environmental compliance.
**What we’re looking for:**
  • At least two years’ technical or operational experience - energy, mechanical, or manufacturing sectors preferred.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Solid understanding of safety in operational environments.
  • Great communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office), with SAP or CMMS experience a bonus.
  • A full or restricted NZ driver’s licence and first aid certificate.
**Why join us?**
  • Be part of a fast-growing, future-focused renewable energy company, contributing to sustainable energy solutions with real impact.
  • Enjoy a genuine work-life balance with Monday–Friday hours.
  • Receive the mentorship and support to further advance your technical skills and develop your career.
  • Be rewarded with competitive pay and great staff benefits
