Contract Manager
Due to an internal shift we are on the search for a Contracts Manager. As a Contract Manager you will be responsible for organising all day-to-day activities on sites ensuring our projects are built safely, on time and to our high standards.
This is a full time permanent position, Monday-Friday. The successful applicant will be computer-savvy, able to multi-task, have great attention to detail and have a cheerful attitude.
Key to this position is someone who has a good knowledge of roofing products and processes. You ideally have an understanding of how project workplans operate and the importance of delivering to expected standards and timeframes. You may be an experienced Contract Manager or someone wanting to take the next step in their career and move off the tools.
Key responsibilities of a Contract Manager include:- Connecting well with people across the organisation and build those key relationships with clients
- Leading by example and striking a good balance between being a leader and a team member
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Managing and coordinating several projects undertaken by both internal staff and sub-contractors.
- Identifying and managing project risks and issues
- Ensuring projects are delivered and installed to meet client needs and expectations
- Completing regular checks throughout the installation in order to meet timelines and quality specifications
- Have a ‘Can do’ attitude and happy to assist and support the team
- Be dynamic and results orientated
- Have strong organisational skills and a highly developed leadership ability
- Sound computer skills
- Excellent client liaison and relationship building skills,
- Resiliency – someone who does not get flustered easily, when dealing with tradies, builders, contractors & clients
- Have a roofing or building background and/or understanding of the construction industry is preferred
- Proven ability to balance multiple projects under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Experience in SIMPRO or similar job scheduling software would be a bonus
