He Korero mo te turanga - About the Role

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated senior nurse to join our established Associate Clinical Nurse Manager Team (ACNM) here in the Emergency Department at Tauranga Hospital. The role will be for a fixed term period of 12 months.

Our ACNM team has responsibility to encourage, support, develop and coach the ED nursing team, provide leadership and contribute to the day-to-day control of the department.

You will work alongside the Clinical Nurse Manager to take forward organisational objectives and ensure departmental standards are met. There is a significant commitment to working after hours, weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and support to our nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Assist in the coordination and management of daily operations within the Emergency Care department.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Manager to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards of care.
  • Mentor and coach staff members to promote professional development and growth.

Are you ready to take the next step in your nursing career? We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Associate Clinical Nurse Manager. If you possess a positive and can-do attitude, significant clinical experience in Emergency Care Nursing, evidence of development and ongoing maintenance of a professional portfolio (preferably at an expert level), and previous or current leadership experience, we want to hear from you.

The preferred candidates will have:

  • Emergency Department and/or acute care nursing experience.
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • A desire to make a difference to our community
  • `Can do' attitude
  • A commitment to ongoing education to support excellence in emergency nursing.
