Field Services Technician

Due to significant growth, and the need to service our valued clients across the region, we are looking for an experienced,Full-time,Field Services Technician, to be based out of ourWellingtonoffice and servicing the greater region.
The role
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor – NZ Maintenance Program and supported by a skilled team, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and monitoring fixed and mobile speed camera systems in the field. The role involves regular regional travel, working at heights, and troubleshooting complex technology — combining mechanical precision with strong software and networking problem-solving skills.Your work will be key to maintaining Verra Mobility’s reputation as a leader in road safety and supporting the success of our NZ Field Operations team.
This full-time role requires working across an established roster across weekdays and weekends, including public holidays and at times “out of hours” performing vehicle-based field maintenance work as well as office-based compliance and systems support.
As an individual passionate about road safety and with a curious, analytical, and technical mind you will:
- Install, commission, and maintain Verra Mobility’s road safety systems both onsite and in the field, ensuring all activities meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Work flexibly to a set roster, including after-hours, weekends, and public holidays, while travelling regularly across the region and occasionally within the APAC area.
- Conduct accurate fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and system rectification, while completing detailed documentation and maintenance reports in line with SLAs.
- Operate professionally and collaboratively within the APAC Operations team, contributing to meetings, training, and a positive, values-driven work environment.
- Engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders with clear, customer-focused communication, independently managing and owning your assigned responsibilities.
- Maintain all company property, including vehicles and tools, to a high standard, actively support WHS practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Who are you?
You’re a technically capable professional with a relevant tertiary qualification in electronics, IT, telecommunications, or a related field. You have proven experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting both hardware and software systems, along with supporting network configurations (LAN/WAN), cabling, and on-site installations.You’re comfortable working with bespoke or in-house developed technology and ideally hold Working at Heights and EWP certifications. You also hold a full, unrestricted NZ Driver Licence, have a clean driving record, and can meet all pre-employment requirements, including medical, drug and alcohol testing, and a police check.
