Te Tūranga | The Role Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to manage our end-to-end financial accounting process, including month-end reporting, cost tracking, tax compliance and statutory reporting aligned to the relevant standards.There is never a dull moment as far as tax is concerned, with new tax issues arising where your expertise is required across FBT, GST, Withholding Tax and other ad-hoc tax queries.
You'll assist the team with financial analysis, planning, budgeting and forecasting to inform decision-making and contribute to papers with insights and analysis for our Board, Audit & Risk Committee, and executive leadership team.This role is also responsible for ensuring we are well versed in the most recent accounting standards and facilitating any required changes to our processes.
You'll approach this as a continuous improvement opportunity, not only as far as accounting standards, internal controls and financial governance is concerned, but also looking for other ways to improve efficiencies and effectiveness within our busy Finance team.
This will extend to the coordination of external audits where you will pride yourself on delivering to audit and regulatory expectations in a timely and collaborative manner.
