Venues Otautahi venues attract and host a wide range of events in Christchurch and manage a diverse and iconic portfolio of community venues. Venues Otautahi own and manage both the Christchurch Town Hall and Wolfbrook Arena, and manage Apollo Projects Stadium, Hagley Oval, the Air Force Museum of NZ and One New Zealand Stadium (due to open in April 2026).

About the Role

Venues Otautahi is delighted to be accepting applications for the role of Cleaning Crew - Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. We have two roles available.

As a member of the Cleaning Crew, you will be right in the thick of it at times, from concerts to conferences and all other events in between. This role is charged with ensuring the presentation and cleanliness of Venues Otautahi venues is to the highest possible standard.

As a key member of the team, the Cleaning Crew - Supervisor will support and mentor the casual staff on event day, execute event day cleaning requirements in a professional and timely manner and support the Housekeeping Manager by providing supervisory guidance, training, and on-shift leadership to Cleaning Crew staff.

You will pride yourself on exceeding our client and guest expectations, our guests deserve a great experience, so with the support of a fantastic team, you will help us ensure that is exactly what they get.

About You

Like all roles at Venues Otautahi, the Cleaning Crew - Supervisor role is a hands-on role and will involve evenings and weekend work to meet the needs of our event schedule. You will have a minimum of two years prior experience in a similar role and have proven experience leading a team.
